Larry, the public beta for what will be 7.0 has been released for d/l
for some time now. It's going to be a 7.0 release rather than a 6.x
release because of incompatibility issues between the previous releases
and the current one.
The sarcasm comes because of the fact that with every release we get
a flood of demands/requests for the official release date of the newest
version - which Red Hat won't do; they've had a policy of no pre-release
announcing. It will be announced about the time they start to get the
boxed distro packages into stock.
