Probably you can access the modem via telnet. Just to need to know the
IP and set yourself up with on the same network. Most are accessible
via web browser too, but don't know that one specifically. This is a
SpeedStream:

[hal@feenix hal]$ telnet speedie
Trying 192.168.10.15...
Connected to speedie.
Escape character is '^]'.

Type "?" at the command prompt for a list of commands.
Type "help" at the command prompt for general help.
For detailed help on a specific command, type command name
followed by a "?",  for instance, "show ?".

Do you know if they use PPPoE? You may have to download/install one of
those clients. Several are available. If you want details, I am in
process of updating the ADSL HOWTO. There are PPPoE links, etc:
