VNC works well over a dialup line (I use it to check up on my Mac at work
from my laptop at home). Consider it as secure as telnet, as the passwords
transmit at clear text. If anybody wants do do a demo, contact me off the
list and we can schedule a little time for you to try controlling my laptop
(Win2k, sorry, haven't gotten around to installing Linux yet)...
It is great in that it works via either a client or a Java applet with any
web browser (I've even used it on one of the little net-only appliances), so
it would even at any cyber-cafe...
Enjoy!
