Greetings all,
Just wondering if anyone is using any of the Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
supported by the 2.2 kernel on a single server. (Not Beowulf clusters and
the like.) The ones listed are:
Alteon AceNIC/3Com 3C985/NetGear GA620 Gigabit
Packet Engines GNIC-II (Hamachi)
Packet Engines Yellowfin Gigabit-NIC
SysKonnect SK-98xx
I'm wondering about price, performance, ease of configuration, type of card
(PCI or ?) and what type of network connector they have. (I'm guessing SC
fiber connectors, but it's just that - a guess.)
Any information/experiences (good or bad) would be most appreciated.
