A proper shutdown and restart accomplishes nothing with respect to the
mouse. Still have a fuzzy rectangle for a mouse arrow.
The video card is a very ordinary Cirrus PCI 5430/40 on a machine with an
Intel 233MMX and 64MB RAM. Nothing fancy.
Didn't have this problem before with RH 6.0. Depending on weather and time
of year, I have a power outage perhaps once a month.
Further comments & ideas appreciated.
