Yes I tried Rawhide, I checked  at least on the two or
three rpm sites. Perl is still the same as 6.2's.

I posted a little in frustration since part of
going with a 'packaged' version of *nix, espically
RedHat was in the past RedHat was usually one to
update packages quite frequently.

Sure I could use tarballs, I do on my three BSD
boxes, oh well.. just a though since in the past
four years, RedHat as done very well from me.

Once you have all tarballs whats left with the
reason to go with a packaged *nix ?

Guess will see how may dependencies there is to
removing redhat's perl from 6.2.

Sorry for venting my frustraton, but something
as common as perl ? ...
