Hi - as you can probably tell by the way I'm not really making much
sense in the subject line I'm not too sure where to start here..
basically I used to have my lilo.conf file with a line:
vga=9 in it which caused my console windows to have a nice small font
and wide cols - since I upgraded (can't remember exactly when) this
trick doesn't seem to be working any more and I'm stuck with 80 x 30
screens.
How can I change the screen resolution (character size / number of
rows & cols) at times other than boot? How can I see what modes are
available. Note I'm not talking about X-Windows stuff here - just the
plain old text (init 3) mode.
thanks in advance for any help, or pointer as to where to start RTFM!
