As Lee Howard has already indicated, there's a good chance that this
is a WinModem (TM US Robotics/3Com). You should take a look at the
box the modem came in or any documentation it has and see if it
says anything about "requires Windows 95/98" or "works with Windows
95 / 98." If it does, you've got a WinModem and should get shed of it
as fast as possible. :-)
