Ok. I didn't see anything like that. I su-ed to root and
did a "less messages | grep ident" and nothing like the
examples you gave popped up. A "cat /etc/services" points
port 113 for ident, so maybe Ident isn't working
properly....

Thanks. I think I'll try a different ident server and see
if that helps.
