Yep, Red Hat wants that file part of Xconfigurator.  Make sure
Xconfigurator is installed, but don't use it ;)

I think cpio has a problem replacing a directory with a symlink.  I'll
fix that...

Remove Mesa and Mesa-devel before installing XFree86 4, and that should
fix the problem.

Will fix that, too.  Using --force should work after removing Mesa.
