There is two different speed for different kind if CD's. My cd writer
writes on CD-RW disks at 4x and writes on CD-R at 8x and Reads any disks at
32x. It depends on the CD-R's and CD-RW's speed capabilities. I have not
yet seen CD-RW disk capable writing at 6x but seen CD-R at 12x.
