I have two Linux boxes separated by the internet. I want to print
from LinuxA to the printer defined on LinuxB.

I've used printtool on LinuxA to add a definition of the remote printer
on LinuxB. I've created an /etc/hosts.lpd file on LinuxB that
contains the ip addresses and dns names of internet hosts that
need to have printer access to LinuxB. I've then restarted the lpd
daemon.

Firewalling is on for LinuxB and I therefore had to specifically add
an ipchains input rule that allows access to LinuxB's web page
from the internet.

Two questions, guys?

What's the ipchains input rule that will allow incoming internet
packets permission to use the LinuxB printer?

Does allowing this type of input open any worm holes otherwise
closed?

Thanks for the help.
