Hi all people, Have tarball alsa-driver-0.5.8b.tar.bz2 download from the website (RedHat 6.2) in KDE konsole window untar ( tar xvfI alsa-driver-0.5.8b.tar.bz2 ) and then change to source directory ./ configure --with-cards=ymfpci make install ./snddevices Everything went on smoothly without a warning signal re-booted PC also in KDE konsole window # sndconfig It indicated that "..... Yamaha sound card YMF724 is not supported" Kindly advise how to rectify. Whether any step was missed or "ymfpci" is not for YMF-724. Thanks in advance. B.R.
