I'm trying to install the 'updated' or functional drivers for the box that I'm configuring. Here's what I'm working with: dell poweredge 2450/733 rh6.2 running on the kernels: 2.2.14-6.0.1 and 2.2.14-6.0.1smp (2) intel eepro100 dual port ethernet cards (pci of course). I downloaded both the source and the src rpm from scyld.com. I tried to install the srcrpm as instructed AND compililing the module separately(no blatant errors and such). But when I try to test the compiled modules by using insmod eepro100.o, I get all slew of dependecy errors (running 'depmod -e' on the same module naturally returns the same result). The errors are as follows: depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in eepro100.o depmod: init_etherdev_R4468631d depmod: acpi_set_pwr_state depmod: eth_type_trans_R6e012c3d depmod: pci_drv_unregister depmod: __kfree_skb_R461d1b3d depmod: netif_rx_R82bc91e7 depmod: dev_close_R2b99a8df depmod: skb_over_panic_Rb602a3db depmod: eth_copy_and_sum_R52fcc224 depmod: alloc_skb_Rd4215602 depmod: pci_drv_register depmod: unregister_netdev_R27198b1f eepro100.o: what am I missing? Thanks in advance...
