%-> When using GNU cp (which Linux has), "cp -a" will preserve all %-> permissions. As for mv, however, I think it doesn't work across %-> different partitions, though I might mix that up with Solaris... :-} %-> %-> Thomas Very possibly -- Solaris userland is death on a dipstick.
