Oops, sorry, didn't see that there. Try recompiling and reinstalling the
SBLive driver with your new kernel config. You can get the latest version
from opensource.creative.com.

Subject: Kernel re-configuration procedure - error

Hi Everybody,

I tried to re-configure the kernel of R.H.6.2 to make it mount NTFS in hda1
with following instruction/steps

# cd /usr/src/linux-2.2.14-5.0
make menuconfig
make clean
make dep
make bzImage
make modules

# cd /usr/src/linux-2.2.14-5.0/arch/i386/boot/
# cp bzImage /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.14-5.0

# cd /usr/src/linux-2.2.14-5.0
make modules_install
depmod -aV 2.2.14-15

However following warning prompted:

depmod -aV 2.2.14-1.50
depmod version 2.3.10-pre1
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/s.s.14-5.0/misc/emu10k1.o

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

then continued

make bzlilo

# cd /
# lilo

then re-booted P.C.

Linux could be started. Kernel worked but at starting the abovementioned
warning pop-up

Kindly advice how to rectify the said error. Whether my instruction is
correct.

Thanks in advance.

B.R.
Stephen
