from the link above:
mkisofs -o /tmp/cd.img -J -r -a -b amacd288.img /path/to/my/files

I tried this but didn't have too much success...so I used gcombust...checked
Bootable CD, Boot image: amacdys288.img, Boot Catalog: amacdys and it cooked the
Torito chip. It booted up with syslinux. For a screenshot of gcombut check out
http://www.linux-mag.com/2000-04/desktop_03.html
in my $HOME directory I did mkdir cd and put amacd288.img into that directory.
Then using gcombust Add directory I chose just that directory so I didn't need
to add the full path to amacdys288.img in the Boot image: option.

I suggest reading up on syslinux written by Peter Avin (sp?). Many linux on
floppies use it to boot. I believe Trinux, sharethenet...also Mondo uses it to
boot from cd. http://www.microwerks.net/~hugo/
