Zoki,
If you are using your Linux box as a masquerade server all you have to
do is set the primary and secondary DNS addresses in resolve.conf
[Linux] or under Control Panel / Networking / TCP/IP [Windows - and
depending on which flavor - 95-98 or NT]. Set up for each client on the
network that you want to have internet access. All works well. I have
two masquerades setup:
Home: 7 computers out over Cabel Modem and soon DSL.
Work: 14 users over 56K dialup line set to come up at 0630 hrs and
stay up until 1800 each day and then by demand at other times. I did
have to read a bit but all log-ins are plain text and everyone in the
office is amazed that they have little speed loss even though only one
dial up line is utilized. As long as they are only hitting web pages it
works great! Downloading large files is another matter.
