I'm wondering if I'm overseeing something or if it's just Win95 who can't cope with this setup. I have a Star LC-10 (matrix dot) which swallows either A4 or US-Letter paper formats depending on my stock. On the win95 box I installed two instances of the same printer - one for A4 and one for letter paper sizes - otherwise the config is the same. The Star is connected to port lp1 (add on // port card) on the Samba server. Both ports are recognized by the parport module and printing a file at the server to either dotA4 or dotLET works. This makes me conclude it's not a hardware or installation problem. Now, printing from win95 to dotLET doesn't work. Printing to dotA4 works without a hitch. Keep in mind that dotA4 and dotLET are the same printer, it's just the paper config that's different. Question marks are coming out of my ears. I'm wondering if this is a win95 shortcoming or should I look for the problem in my setup?
