What is described below has already happened with some notebooks.
Usually they still leave a "rescue disk" which brings everything in its
original state (and reformat the hard drive !).
If they remove that, what will they do if the user's hard drive go to hell ??
However, they still have to give a way to install new devices and I found that burning
a CD with what is under c:\window\options leads to a reinstallable
win98 distrib (even if the "setup" program is still customized by the OEM).
