I realize this doesn't seem like much help, but I just installed RH 6.2 and it recognized my voodoo300 agp automatically. All I had to do was skip over this screen in the graphical install since it chose the proper card and memory by default. What doest this have to do with xfree86. Nothing, I guess but perhaps my success story will lend some evidence in your hunt for a solution. The point is that i am not sure this card could pose any inherent problems as far as red hat 6.2 is concerned. Did you make sere you had the correct amount of memory for the card checked off (16,382 bytes or something)?

Voodoo3 3000/AGP. It was pretty easy. No extra magic (or voodoo!) required.
