Hi all,

I'm trying to get a CNET CN40BC pcmcia network card going on my
laptop...

PCMCIA services starts by default (btw, I'm using RH6.1),

"cardctl ident" returns the following information:

Socket 0:
    no product info available
Socket 1:
    product info: "CNet", "CN40BC Ethernet", "D", "NE2000"
    function: 6 (network)

this leads me to believe that the card and pcmcia are coming up fine,
I just need to get the card "networked"....

What do I need to do from here to set up the card with an IP address of
199.1.1.3 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
?

I've been looking at the PCMCIA howto, but I'm getting lost...

Thanks,

Ahbaid.
