Hi,

just set up a Red Hat 6.2 system as a replacement to a much older RH server
(running RH 4.1, kernel 2.0, etc).

I am noticing what is minimally a change in behaviour in nfsd.

under previous distributions, if I exported "/", I was able to traverse
the entire filesystem, and all filesystems mounted upon the exported
filesystem. For example, i could traverse /usr which is a separate file system,
and I was only exporting "/".

Now, with RH6.2 (never tried this on RH6.0/RH6.1), I cannot traverse filesystems
mounted on the exported filesystem.

I am guessing that this is a feature of the new knfsd.

is this intentional ?

is this even correct (as compared to other nfs implementations) ?

is there any way to get the old behaviour back ?

thank you, and regards,

-Greg
