Hi Mauricio, >I set the virtual IPs , the SMTP is working fine, I can send messages, but >when i receive the poper say me that the user or the password is not >correct! > >That is, when i start the ipop3d before the vpop3d in the etc/inetd.conf >the poper >recognize only the non-virtual clients. When I start the vpop3d before the >ipop3d in the /etc/inetd.conf the poper recognize only the virtual >clients. The both passwd files exists! I think this really is a "bug" of vpop3d, which only recognizes passwords/spools in the vmail directories. Actually the recommended implementation of having vpop3d then ipop3d in inet.d doesn't work. When virtual domains pop their mail, you would see vpop3d running first, but when your "main" accounts (in /etc/password) pop mails, ipop3d takes over and would never find the spool (always says 0 msg) after authentication is passed. That was on my previous implementation on 6.1, has anyone in the list able to get redhat's vpop3d solution working properly ? best regards, sixx ps : Mauricio, I've cc'd this problem back to the lists. I'll now work on an implementation on 6.2 to see if this problem exists here ... -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
