I have a davicom ethernet card. When I installed readhat 6,2 it didn't have
a driver for this card. I found a driver compiled it and followed the steps
to insert it into the kernel. The steps were insmod dfme.o, ifconfig eth0
<my ip address>, route add default eth0. When I do these steps I can see
the network. When I reboot I lose access to the network until I do the
above steps. I have been looking in the installation docs to find how to
permanently add the driver but I haven't found anything. I am having the
same problem with the DHCP daemon and samba. I am using the GUI window
manager you get with redhat but none of the system utilities seem to work.
When I go to the network and kernel configurators my driver is not listed
even though it is in the same directory as all the other network drivers
provided. Could someone point me in the right direction?
