Something like that. On the Suns (under X, of course - on the console,
the whole point is moot), the typical setup I have is this:
Alt +F-Key: Window-Functions (e.g. close, minimise, etc.pp.)
Meta+F-Key: Change Workspace
Meta+Letter: Workspace Functions
[...]
You get the idea. On an older PC keyboard, I'm missing the Meta keys
(but then again, it also depends on the window manager you're using -
KDE 1.x for example doesn't seem to be able to use that many modifiers -
one more reason not to use it). On the newer ones, Meta can be mapped to
the "Windows" keys. When using a Cherry keyboard, you can even get
Penguin caps for them, AFAIR... :-)

My dream would be having a Sun keyboard (I *think* Sun 5), as I also
appreciate the second set of function keys at times ("Stop", "Again",
"Find", "Cut", "Copy", etc.), but I doubt that's possible. Other than
that I haven't found my ideal keyboard yet, especially, as I'd like it
to be black, too... (the old keyboard that came with my Escom machine
is black and has good feel - just missing a few keys as described
above... :-) ). But then again: I have an old IBM AT keyboard at another
machine as well... ;-)
