Hi can anyone explain the difference between amd (automount) and autofs (autofilesystem)? They obviously are not the same, but their man pages are cyclic (refer to here, which refers to there, etc) I presently am using autofs to mount my windbloz disc for RedHat 6.1 only when getting data from them, not to have them mounted all the time.
