To ascertain the status of the queue

                /usr/sbin/lpc status queue-name

        actually the command lpc help
        is useful

depending upon the circumstances lpc restart queue-name
will bring the queue back to life (providing, of course
        the print server is ok)

/usr/bin/lpq -Pqueue-name (no space between the P and the
                                        queue name) will provide
                                        additional details on files
                                        which are queued

        as root
/usr/bin/lprm -Pqueue-name - will remove all jobs and

lprm -Pqueue-name 1024 blogs will remove job 1024 owned by
                                        bloggs

cheers, Kyle Hargraves
