hello, let me just say first that i am a linux newbie and just looking for
someone to show me the way. i have redhat linux 6.2 installed on my dell
333 with 96mb ram, etc. and had my modem working nicely. i changed the
bitrate from the ~115000 that was selected by default to ~56000 because it
a 56k modem. on the next few restarts, kudzu would say that my generic
modem was gone and should i keep its old configuration or not? i said yes
for awhile and then one day picked no and now my modem does not work and i
dont know how to get it working again. it used to work with kppp just fine.
i've searched for help but cannot seem to find it. any help would be
greatly appreciated. thanks.
