Hello everybody,

        I have a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite 4280. I have just
installed RedHat 6.2 in this laptop and all is right, except Xwindow
configuration, that is not correctly working.

The problem is that I can start Xwindow, but it only uses the
half of the screen and the resolution is set to 320x200 and I can't
configure it to use the hole screen and with higher resolutions.

By making a Superprobe test I can see that I have an S3
graphic board (in Windows 98 I have it configured as an S3 Savage, so
I think this is right), with 3072KB (3MB) of memory (first problem,
Windows 98 said that I have 8MB of memory) and that the chipset is
unknown. So I configure Xwindow to use XFree86_SVGA driver.

Any idea of what is happening? Does anybody know how to
configure Xwindow in this laptop?

        Thanks in advance,

Salu2, Angel
