Ok... now I remember. yah that was probably part of my problem with
3.3.5. It did motivate me to purchase a Voodoo3 3000. Nice Card :D

Not sure. I think there is a readme file in the tarball. It might have
a note or two about that. I know it works with 4.0 really good. Never
did make it to 3.3.6. I downloaded it just in case 4.0 blew up.

Yah. Same here. I bought 98 for my system and ATI did pretty good with
Windoze. That was the ONLY reason I bought ATI. Wanted to try
something else. Still, next time I'll buy a GEForce card. I'm told
support has been there for quite some time.
I think the 4.0 has 3D support. Haven't tried anything that requires
that yet. But I happen to have a copy of Quake 3 Arena for Linux.
Sounds like a good test for me... Hoping to install it someday soon.
I understand that's basically what the glide drivers are supposed to do
for you. Or did I get that wrong? Don't remember now.
