You need to add the module to /etc/conf.modules so that it'll
be loaded at startup. Here's what my file looks like:
alias eth0 eepro100
alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
alias ppp0 ppp
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
alias sound-slot-0 sb
options sound dmabuf=1
alias midi opl3
options opl3 io=0x388
options sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1 mpu_io=0x330
Check the conf.modules man page for more information.
