Hello:

I'm trying to use kickstart to install RH 6.1J on ten identical
boxes. After completing the first install, I tried using kickstart in two
different ways:

- - Created an ext2-formatted floppy and putting ks.cfg in the / directory.
Booted from CD with "linux ks=floppy". The installation procedure
complained about /tmp/ks.cfg missing so I moved it there instead. But
upon next attempt, the install loaded appropriate drivers for the
machine and then aborted.

- - Created a install boot disk with "dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0". Since
this disk is DOS-formatted, used "mtools" to copy over ks.cfg into
A:\. This time I booted right from this diskette, and said "linux
ks". Again, the install loaded the appropriate SCSI drivers and
then aborted.

The last messages displayed were:

Kanji ON Console MINI Ver.0.3.8 (98/03/09)

  install exited abnormally.
  ...
You may not reboot your system.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is kickstart broken?

Thanks...
