yes, this really does look like good stuff. An old PC without a HD is easy
to come by.

I too am very interested in this stuff. I am buying a new house, and have
wired it apropriately - all rooms wired with 2 cat5 cables, all hoem run
to the basement wher I will be making a machine room/wiring closet. My
basement is unfinished so I will be sizing my machine room with space for
a bed as well :)

Please keep us informed how you fare. I want to do exactly this, but I'm
not sure how long till I get to it.
