I have a Dell Latitude CPi A366 laptop which uses the NeoMagic NM256 chipset
for sound and video. Under RH6.1, I could play MP3 files with XMMS, and
simultaneously hear the GNOME sound server output.

So far, under RH 6.2 it's one or the other. If an MP3 is playing, the GNOME
sound server is silent, and if the GNOME sound server is active, XMMS says
it can't get control of the sound device.

Has something changed to the NM256 driver or in RH 6.2, or is this a
configuration problem? Any ideas? I think I'm pretty familiar with the FAQs
and READMEs and such, but if someone can point in the right direction it
would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-- Scott
