I am also facing some problem with unimplemented parts of threads.
Like :
pthread_condattr_setpshared(.. ) etc functions. I think the mutex is also not implemented fully.

OK, threading is not exactly covered in the RHCE. Can someone tell me
where I can find out more about threads and what they can or can not do
for me?
Will they help to speed up my system in any way? Or are they more for
SMP capable machines?
Just wondering here. Looking to grease the most amount of speed I can
out of my machine and overclocking aint gonna happen with this POS IBM
300Gl mobo.
