You might also want to check out the Ultra DMA HOWTO.  There is a section there on the 
Promise 33 that describes how to get the boot disk to recognize drives on a 3rd and 
4th channel (which is where your ATA66 is if you have 2 "regular" IDE channels and 2 
ATA66 channels).  Despite the fact that the info appears under the Promise 33, it 
should work with your machine, because it's generic IDE stuff.

Basically, it involves booting from floppy, doing some cat /proc/whatever stuff to get 
the IDE addresses, then rebooting and passing those addresses to the kernel.
