Hi, I just got a new Aopen Fortress 3000 server that has an onboard Intel
Etherexpress Pro chip and I am having trouble sending and receiving
packets... I can ping the ip on eth0, but I can't get beyond it... Funny
thing is, I can even get an ip from my cable isp's dhcp server, but then
everything seems to go south.

Here is what dmesg shows...

eth0: OEM i82557/i82558 10/100 Ethernet at 0x9040, 00:00:E2:29:A3:D8, IRQ 19.
eth0: Transmit timed out: status 0000 0000 at 8/24 command 00030000.
eth0: Trying to restart the transmitter...

And here are the errors in /var/log/messages... Any help is appreciated.

Mar 11 17:29:32 ss1 kernel: eth0: Transmit timed out: status 0000 0000 at 15/31
command 00030000.
Mar 11 17:29:32 ss1 kernel: eth0: Trying to restart the transmitter...

Oh, and I am running RH6.1 with an smp kernel ...freshly installed. Of
course, no updates, as I can't get on the net! :-) Any help is
appreciated.

Btw, the card is reported to be using irq 19... I thought there were only
16 interrupts?

Regards,

Trevor Astrope
