Uh....according to quite a few politicians and activists, Yes!
Joe Blow buys/steals a gun and robs a local package store where a clerk
gets capped because in the heat of the moment Joe Blow ( an out of work
cab driver ) accidentally shoots.
Wounded clerk sue's the gun manufacturer and the USA Today newspaper
sells 20 million more copies than it usually does with the headline "GUN
SHOOTS CLERK, CAB DRIVER AQUITTED"
Next Clinton considers a bill making it illegal for package stores to be
located near taxi stands and fines the package store for not asking for
ID from the cab driver before he was held up.
Pardon me, I couldn't resist a little humor.
