intall error: crc errorVFS: Cannot open root device 08:32

Hi

I'm trying to install RH6.1 on a box with a new MB/K6 II 500/10gb HD, and
used 64 MB RAM/CDROM/floppy.

right after the partition check (says unknown partiton table for hda) I
get:

RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
crc errorVFS: Cannot open root device 08:32
Kernel Panic: VFS:  Unable to mount root fs on 08:32

and there she hangs..
