If you can, use rpm -Uvh * in the directory with all your downloaded XFree86
files only in one directory. I upgraded from 3.3.3 to 3.3.5 without a hitch
using the rpm command and was able to configure my video card without
problem. No, you do not need to remove the old XFree86 files. rpm -Uvh
option will update all the old XFree86 files. You might end up manually rpm
-ivh one of the video driver to match your new video card.
