If they are IDE drives and the processor is >= what you currently have,
then shouldn't be a problem.

If the processor is a lesser processor you may need to downgrade the
kernel (going from i686 to i585 for example).

If they are SCSI drives, then make sure you change scsi_hostadapter in
/etc/conf.modules to point to the correct scsi module, and rebuild your
initrd image.
