try http://www.hylafax.org/ it works great. I had it up and running...only
problem was the windows client was not too good at all. I would install this
one again and use it for our company if the client was better for windows. But
hylafax as a server worked great for me in my testing and wasn't that hard to
setup. The windows client I'm referring to is at http://www.transcom.de/whfc/

ordered a demo cd from http://www.vsi.com/vsi-fax/main.html which will run on
Linux as a server but it looks like you have to use Microsoft Management Console
(MMC) to administer it (setup user account / restrictions, etc.) which requires
and NT Workstation or Server which we have none....only Linux. Plus it's $5,000
for unlimited user license. No where on their website did I know that you had to
use NT to administer the thing...otherwise I wouldn't have bothered....don't use
NT and don't plan to start using it either.

the option I want to go with (you probably can't since your in Russia) is
http://www.netmoves.com/services/families/faxlauncherpro.html
which allows Windows client to select the fax printer from any windows app and
type in the phone number which sends it over your smtp mail server to their mail
server as an RSA encrypted TIFF file and they convert it and send it to the
recepient. I think it's $0.10 /page...could be wrong...I wasn't the one who was
checking...plus phone bill transmission costs.
