Hi list,

I have a little problem, heres the story:

I yesterday installed 6.1 on and old machine to be a firewall and to
run PopTop (PPTP server). All this went fine and the machine seemed to
live happily.

When i came back to work to day, i found the following kernel message:

"Aiee, semaphore in use inode 03:06/55848,count=1025"

OK, i tought "odd" and searched a little on the message on the net.

A little time after i was playing around and noticed a command (ipcs) that
i havent noticed before.

I ran "man ipcs" and the machine got a kernel panic...

After this i had to shut the power and then the machine wont start.

I comes to "Uncompressing Linux..."

Out of memory

-- System halted

I tried to start the machine with a floppy without any luck.

This feels like a bad SIMM or something.

Any ideas someone ?

Regards

/Daniel
