I installed the tetex rpm for LaTeX as well as the SGML tools. Now when I try to use a LaTeX file generated with sgml2latex it can't find the .sty files. The reason it can't find them is that LaTeX expects the style files to either be in the local directory or somewher under /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/. The sgml tools rpm seems to install the sgml-tools.sty and qwertz.sty into /usr/lib/sgml-tools. How do I bring my sgml-tools and my tetex into sync so that they will access the same .sty file. Please note I can get around the immediate problem by copying or linking the files from one directory to another, but the whole point of a package manager is to keep track of interdependency. I'm wondering if I missed something on the install or if somehow the package I installed was defective. -- Josh Kuperman [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
