I bought a Creative Ensoniq AudioPCI sound card for my son's (Windoze)
computer and for various reasons he's not sure he likes it. Before I
try to take it back for a refund I was wondering if it can be made to
work with RH 5.2.

Some sites list a model number of ES1371 for a card by that (or similar)
name, and there is a driver for it in the kernel. however the card I got
has a different model number printed on it: CT4810.

I've been looking at the Ensoniq web site and it says there that the
drivers ontheir site for AudioPCI cards do not work with the Creative
version.

so, can anyone tell me if thie es1371 driver in Linux will work with
the Creative version of the card or not?

I looked at the OSS site and it lists this card as unsupported, as
does the ALSA page. bummer.

Thanks!

Fred
