Hi,
I am trying to get Oracle 8.1.5 (8i) installed on RH 6.0.
I have all the compatability items loaded okay. I have
installed the Java JDK 1.2.2 RC 4 (my instructions call for
1.1.6 v 5 ) into '/usr/local/jdk1.2.2. There is a
subdirectory called jre and it contains a bin subdirectory.
I have built a link from '/usr/local/jre' to
/usr/local/jdk1.2.2/jre'
When i try to run './runInstaller' it states that it
cannot find the file the directory '/usr/loca/jre/bin/jre'.
When I look at the directory tree there is no directory
called jre under the '/usr/loca/jre/bin' directory.
Hopefully someone there will have an idea!
Can I not use the JDK 1.2.2 RC 4?
