No, as you correctly stated in your first mail, X doesn't currently
support antialiased fonts. Various people are working on aa font
support for their various applications, such as the GNOME project, but
there is no way you will get it in existing applications such as
netscape without massive changes to XFree86.
You can use ttf fonts in X though, just not AA.
