Hey all,
I've got a puzzler here. The syslog output from sendmail has gone goofy on
me and I can't figure out how to ungoof it.
Sample:
-----------
Feb 17 14:09:05 backup OAA23259 lists.redhat.com [199.183.24.247]: DATA
[23259]: OAA23259: from=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, size=2248,
class=-30, pri=86248, nrcpts=1,
msgid=<"Y6SoM3.0.uw3.SL5hu"@lists.redhat.com>, proto=SMTP,
relay=lists.redhat.com [199.183.24.247]
Feb 17 14:09:05 backup OAA23259: from queue
[23266]: OAA23259: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, delay=00:00:02, xdelay=00:00:00,
mailer=local, stat=Sent
Feb 17 14:09:05 backup sendmail[23268]: OAA23268: from=wcarlson,
size=2472, class=-30, pri=86472, nrcpts=1,
msgid=<"Y6SoM3.0.uw3.SL5hu"@lists.redhat.com>, relay=wcarlson@localhost
---------
Ok, the last entry is what I would normally expect (sendmail[23268]). What
is bothering me is the first 2 entries with the newlines, I don't
understand why sendmail is generating entries like those.
I checked /etc/sendmail.cf (no changes) and restart sendmail, no change.
Any ideas appreciated.
