when i was using redhat as my firewall box, i inserted the script into the
/sbin/ifup script. i was using dhcp on the external interface (cable
modem)... i changed the dhcp client from pump to dhcpcd, and added the
firewall script in to run as soon as dhcp completed.
now i'm on a freebsd system, doing somethign very similar.
